It would make sense to me to fill a whole sketchbook with sketches and paintings of giraffes – I just love their ears and lumpy faces, their earthy tones and big dark eyes. Drawing them gives me joy, but I also love illustrating many other subjects, and besides, this homemade watercolour sketchbook is for all the things, but most especially for practice and using supplies which have been resting for too long in their respective storage places. In any case, here are four giraffes for the start of 2023. This year I intend to draw and paint the things that remind me why I love to draw and paint things.
